Monarose is a thirty year old living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her first name is derived from each of her grandmothers’ — her paternal grandmother, “Mona”, and maternal grandmother, “Rose”. Her father is from Yemen and her mother the Philippines. She is a first born American citizen.

Having grown up in San Diego she is constantly in search of the perfect fish taco and enjoys good ethnic food. She loves cupcakes, the writing of Rainer Maria Rilke, vintage magazines, Cary Grant movies, and playing with pictures and words.

When she grows up, she wants to be a graphic designer. Or a masked avenger.
